TIME TO TEE OFF

The Oconee area draws visitors from all over the world for it's 5 best in class ranking courses.

THE LANDING

The original course built at Lake Oconee, the Bob Cupp designed Landing winds naturally through wooded areas and rolling hills. The Landing showcases three holes that wrap dramatically along the lakeshore. Cupp’s distinctive touch is evident in the settings he conceived for the greens and the shot values he instilled throughout the course making The Landing one of the premium golf venues on Lake Oconee.

THE PRESERVE

The Preserve Course was the first course built at Reynolds Lake Oconee, opening in 1988 and to this day, is known as the most player friendly of the collection of courses here. Award-winning architect Bob Cupp designed the rolling, tree-lined layout, with assistance from U.S. Open champions Fuzzy Zoeller and Hubert Green.

GREAT WATERS

Great Waters has reopened succeeding an 18-month renovation and is now available for reservations. The Nicklaus Design team has modernized and reinvented the signature golf course, originally designed by Jack Nicklaus in 1992. Bask in panoramic views on the Lake Oconee shoreline and the serenity of Georgia’s verdant forests on 7,400 yards of championship golf.

“’Spectacular’ is a pretty good word for the golf course,” said Nicklaus, the famed golfing legend. “We created a little more of an exciting golf course with more variety, a golf course that is really strong again.”

THE OCONEE

The Oconee Course, designed by Rees Jones, is a strikingly beautiful risk/reward layout aptly named for the 19,000-acre lake that serves as the community’s centerpiece. It challenges golfers with distracting views and tempts them to shorten holes by taking more direct routes over watery inlets. First time visitors to The Oconee are struck by its rural, natural atmosphere and the beauty of the lake that frames it. Key to the popularity of this course is the challenge for all levels of play, five sets of tees offer options for every type of golfer. The Oconee is host to The Kingdom at Reynolds Lake Oconee and is within walking distance from The Ritz-Carlton Reynolds, Lake Oconee.

THE NATIONAL

Completed in 2000, the 27-hole National Course by Tom Fazio is defined by hardwood forests and gently sloping terrain. Flowering dogwoods and azaleas line the fairways with spectacular panoramas of Lake Oconee and the Oconee River Valley. Fazio used the lay of the land to create one of the more artistic courses you will find.
